Hour-Zero
About Us

We believe effective emergency response plans are based on three things: ability, confidence and trust.

Leadership

We work hard to ensure the quality, breadth and scope of our thought leadership addresses both the immediate and long-term issues of school emergency preparedness.

Principal – Donna Gingera

Passion and perseverance are two words commonly used when speaking about Donna, Hour-Zero’s CEO and founder. Donna is a respected leader in school emergency preparedness and well known for her commitment to the subject. To that end, she works tirelessly to ensure every Hour-Zero client needs are met through the provision of a premier emergency preparedness program for their school district.

Donna has first-hand experience in dealing with major school crises, serves on the ASTM Working Group that is developing a standards guide for school emergency preparedness, and is the recipient of a number of national and international awards.

Prior to Hour-Zero, Donna held senior positions with school districts, universities, government, and industry. Donna is a graduate of the University of Manitoba.

Principal – Aaron Masson

Aaron’s tenacious spirit and infallible focus provides him with the traits needed to juggle all the tasks associated with being Hour-Zero’s General Manager.

He brings an invaluable 360 degree perspective to Hour-Zero with a wealth of experience in risk management, disaster recovery planning, business continuity planning, IT security and operations.

Aaron joined Hour-Zero in 2006, although not entirely as a ‘new kid on the block’, having been the architect for HZ Online. In addition to his GM duties, Aaron takes an active part in providing services to clients and can often be found at a school conducting a risk assessment or working through mitigation strategies with the school or district emergency team. Aaron is a graduate of the University of Alberta.
